Description
Teaching students how to write a summary can be a difficult task. This bundle includes anchor charts and activities to guide and support your teaching. Each of these sheets are editable in powerpoint, and are half sheets that can be used in Interactive Notebooks.
This printable resource is perfect for guided reading, Rotations, Literature Circles, Book Clubs…etc. I rely on my students knowing the difference between writing a reflection on what they have read where they discuss the different active reader strategies they applied and writing a summary. In the summary students should only include the most important parts. I teach my students to identify main cues while reading and to track the cues on their I can summarize bookmark. Main cues allow students to more easily summarize and organize their ideas in the correct sequence.
