It was just me & the kiddos last Saturday. I had put off a lot of projects over Christmas break & was hoping to dedicate the majority of that day to getting caught up. After my kids had finished a movie I decided the next “keep em happy” activity would be a bath w/ one of their new bath bombs. As I worked I asked the kids to pick out a bath bomb & toys they would like to play with as they tubbed. The kids grew impatient as I struggled to pull myself away from the computer. Time passed & baby Grace woke up fixed on a feeding. Benson & Lovie got antsy realizing it would be even longer before I could start their tubs. I assured them I’d help as soon as sis was done & reminded them to find their bath time tools they had previously picked out. At some point between the picking out & waiting for mom, Benson had lost his bath bomb. The anxiety filled him as the reality of the disappearance of his bath bomb set in. Desperately he began to search as I helplessly sat in the chair nursing Grace. After a valiant effort he returned to no avail. I told him to say a prayer, & try again which he quickly, humbly & obediently did. Again, another valiant effort of searching commenced. This time I offered my own silent pleading that Heavenly Father would answer his prayers & that Benson would be able to find it on his own, without my interference. Benson returned to the living room deflated and defeated. Still no sign. He sat on the ground, & began to complain & look for something else to fill his attention. At this point I told him something to the effect that Heavenly Father cares about what you care about, so if finding this bath bomb is important to you, it’s important to him... “however,” & I quote, “you have to do the work, it (the bath bomb) won’t just fall from the sky.” Inspired once again, Benson stood up & got to work. Lovie offering a sweet vocal prayer of encouragement behind him, they were off. Not moments later Benson was again at the Christmas Tree, a place he had looked again, & again, & again. This time his small wooden rocker he intended to use as a stool bumped the tree, and would you believe it... thud. The missing bath bomb literally fell from the sky. ...
