Description
How to infer while reading is a skill most students struggle to understand. Telling the difference between a prediction and an inference is an even tougher concept for students to wrap their heads around. For that reason alone I created this pack. Before I start my Guided Reading stations, Literature circles, or even reader’s workshop, I explicitly teach and model reading strategies; specifically what is making inferences. What’t the difference between predictions and inferences. This instruction and practice benefits both the kiddos and their work for the year to come. I created this product to be used as a TO, WITH, BY concept, it was also created to be used with any text. This can be a whole class novel, picture book…etc.
**These pages are the perfect size for a composition notebook and can be used in interactive notebooks, or writer’s notebook.
